Product information:

Codice Syrup is a combination cough formulation containing Codeine 10 mg and Triprolidine Hydrochloride 1.25 mg. It is intended for the symptomatic relief of troublesome cough.

Codeine acts centrally to suppress the cough reflex, while Triprolidine, an antihistamine, helps reduce histamine-mediated allergic symptoms that may accompany cough.

Key Benefits:

  • Codeine acts centrally on the cough center providing effective relief from persistent, non‑productive cough.
  • Triprolidine blocks H1 receptors which reduces allergic symptoms like sneezing, rhinorrhea, and nasal congestion.
  • Addresses both cough and allergy‑related respiratory discomfort.
  • Night‑time cough suppression and relief from nasal irritation gives better rest.
  • Combination therapy targets cough triggered by allergic rhinitis or upper respiratory tract irritation.
  • Provides quick improvement in throat irritation, cough frequency, and nasal symptoms.
  • Trusted blend of antitussive + antihistamine for stubborn allergic cough.

Directions for use:

Shake well before use. Measure the prescribed dose using a suitable measuring device. Take Codice Syrup only in the dose and duration prescribed by a qualified healthcare professional. Do not exceed the recommended dose or frequency.

Do not drive or operate machinery after taking the medicine if you experience drowsiness, dizziness, or impaired alertness. Do not use for persistent or unexplained cough without medical evaluation.

Storage and Safety Information:

  • Keep the bottle tightly closed and out of reach of children.
  • Contains Codeine, an opioid medicine; use strictly according to medical advice and applicable prescription requirements.
  • Codeine may cause drowsiness, dizziness, constipation, nausea, and respiratory depression, particularly at excessive doses or when combined with other sedatives.
  • Triprolidine may also cause drowsiness, dry mouth, blurred vision, or dizziness.
  • Do not drive or operate machinery if affected by the medicine.
  • Inform your doctor if you have breathing problems, asthma, liver or kidney disease, or a history of sensitivity to opioids or antihistamines.
  • Codeine should not be used in children under 12 years of age and should not be used for cough in certain adolescents with breathing-related risk factors.
  • Codeine is generally contraindicated during breastfeeding because of the risk of serious opioid effects in the infant.
