Product information:

Alotem Tablet contains Telmisartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) used for the management of hypertension (high blood pressure). This helps relax and widen the blood vessels, thereby lowering blood pressure and supporting cardiovascular health.

It works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a substance that causes narrowing of blood vessels.

Key Benefits:

  • Selective angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) producing sustained antihypertensive effect.
  • Reduces risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and other CV events in hypertensive patients.
  • Slows progression of diabetic nephropathy and protects kidney function.
  • No adverse effect on lipid or glucose metabolism ensuring safety in diabetic and dyslipidemic patients.
  • Provides 24‑hour BP control with once‑daily dosing.
  • Minimal side effects compared to ACE inhibitors.
  • Widely prescribed for hypertension, heart failure, and renal protection.

Directions for use:

Take Alotem Tablet exactly as prescribed by your physician. It is generally taken once daily, preferably at the same time each day. The tablet may be taken with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with sufficient water.

Do not change the dose or discontinue treatment without consulting your physician, even if you feel well. Regular monitoring of blood pressure is recommended during treatment.

Storage and Safety Information:

  • Store in a cool, dry place, protected from moisture and direct sunlight.
  • Keep out of reach of children. Use only under medical supervision.
  • Telmisartan may cause low blood pressure, dizziness or light-headedness, particularly when treatment is initiated or the dose is changed.
  • Inform your physician if you have kidney or liver problems, dehydration, or any condition affecting blood pressure or fluid balance.
  • Blood levels of potassium may increase during treatment; your physician may recommend appropriate monitoring, particularly in patients at increased risk.
  • Telmisartan should not be used during pregnancy; if pregnancy is detected, contact your physician promptly.
  • Seek medical attention if you experience severe dizziness, fainting, swelling of the face/lips/tongue, difficulty breathing or other unusual symptoms.
